Essay about a TV-set
There was in class an essay on the topic:“What would you like Lord to do for you?”
They write about what they want
And asked God as only kids may.
In the evening she checked notebooks
One essay had attract her attention:
She read: “My God, how I’ll be happy
If You’ll make an only one transformation!
If You turn me into a TV-set! -
I’ll be a center of attention for everybody!
I’ll attract a care of me with my breaking,
Everyone would have taken care of me then.
I want to take the place of the TV!
So that the whole family gathers around me,
Mom, so that she would sit in a chair opposite me,
And then we would talk with her for hours!
They would listen to me without interrupting,
And they didn't ask unnecessary questions.
And father, forgetting his fatigue,
Wouldn't have shrugged me off.
My Lord, I know you are omnipotent!
Don’t take my wishes for the whims,
Don’t treat them as a nonsense,
I only want living as an ordinary TV-set!
She showed the notebook to her husband.
That’s horrible! – he exclaims in commotion -
Poor boy! It seems he has now a hard time!
I would such parents shoot away certainly!
She glanced with wet eyes and asked him:
- If this handwriting is not familiar to you?
Closing the notebook she said barely audible:
- This is a composition of our son!
